These terms govern your use of SlowBurns.app ("the service"), a novelty tool that rewrites messages as Civil-War-style field dispatches and renders them as short documentary films. By using the service you accept these terms. If you do not, do not use it.

The service

The service is provided free of charge, as is, and may change, pause, or end at any time without notice. Output is produced by an AI model and is intended for amusement: it may contain errors, and it is not a reliable record of anything you submit.

Your content

You keep ownership of the text you submit. You grant the service a limited license to process that text, store it and the resulting letter as a render job, produce a film from it, store that film, and serve it back through an unlisted link — the steps required to deliver what you asked for.

You are responsible for what you submit. Do not submit:

• anything unlawful, defamatory, or harassing;
• other people's personal information without their consent;
• credentials, financial details, or genuine secrets;
• content you have no right to share.

We may remove content and refuse service where these terms are breached.

Accounts

Signing in with Google stores your profile only in your own browser (see the Privacy Policy). There is no server-side account to manage or delete.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse the service: no automated scraping of the API, no attempts to disrupt or probe the infrastructure, and no use that degrades the service for others.

Intellectual property

The site's design, code, and branding belong to the operator of SlowBurns.app. The letter and film generated from your message are yours to share.

Third-party services

The service relies on Cloudflare (hosting and storage), OpenRouter (AI processing), and Google (optional sign-in). Their own terms and policies apply to those components.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — or for any loss arising from use of the service, reliance on its output, or the availability of stored films.

Changes to these terms

Revised terms are posted at this address with a new date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
